This self-luminated skull has had numerous owners for more than five centuries. The skull is said to be that of a deceased exorcist from the 15th century. Legend has it that during his last exorcism, the evil spirit inside the person he was exorcising killed the exorcist. The spirit gave the exorcist’s skull a “permanent incandescent glow” as a fatal reminder of that day. The myth says all who own the skull will suffer the same fate as the exorcist.
